Est. 1992

History

Founded in 1992, the Emerald Guild Society grew from an informal network of Irish superintendents already working across New York City. It was organized to strengthen fellowship, create opportunity in the property-management field, and carry forward a shared standard of service, integrity, and professionalism.

Origins

Before the Emerald Guild Society was formally organized, Irish superintendents in New York City were already connected through an informal professional network. In 1992, that network was given lasting structure so members could support one another, help open paths for advancement, and build an organization rooted both in common heritage and in the daily realities of residential building management.

The Guild's by-laws place that formal founding in April 1992 and note its incorporation in 1996 as Emerald Guild Ltd., reinforcing the organization's shift from informal network to lasting institution.

Founding Fathers

The Guild's history begins with the members who moved an existing network into a formal institution. Their contribution was not only organizational. It set the tone for what the Guild would become: professional, fraternal, and built to endure across generations.

Legacy Carried Forward

The Guild's history is not only a matter of founding dates and officeholders. It is also a record of remembrance, recognition, and continuity. That is why the Pocket Directory places memorials, honors, and ceremonial traditions at the front of the organization's public record.

Continuity

What began in 1992 as a professional and fraternal network now stands as a living institution shaped by leadership, memory, and shared standards carried forward year after year.
