Tradition
Parade
Each March, the Emerald Guild Society steps into public view through one of its most visible traditions — a public expression of fellowship, heritage, and continuity in New York City.
A ceremonial record carried through the city year after year.

Parade Tradition
The St. Patrick's Day Parade has become one of the clearest public expressions of the Guild's identity. It connects the Society not only to its own members, but to a broader civic and Irish-American tradition carried through New York City year after year.
Within the Guild, that tradition is marked through the selection of a Grand Marshal and through a public record that honors those chosen to lead the Society on parade day.
2026 Grand Marshal
Each year, the Grand Marshal serves as the ceremonial standard-bearer for the Guild's place in the parade tradition.

Parade Archive
The parade archive is more than event photography. It is part of the Guild's public memory — a visual record of recognition, fellowship, and continued presence in the life of the city.

A Living Tradition
The parade remains one of the Guild's strongest public rituals: a tradition that honors the past, recognizes the present, and carries the Society forward in view of the city it has long served.
